So Unfair

#7 came in this morning announcing that she'd wet herself, and oh my! She had. I lay there in the nice, warm bed and thought, "NO. Just let me lay here." The Warden asked, "Are you going to get it, or am I?"

I replied, "Do you really need to ask that?"

As he started to get out of bed, but I beat him to the punch and was up and out in no time flat. I'm the morning person; he's the night owl. He wrapped back up in the blankets and went back to sleep.

As I walked into the bathroom, my foot hit a wet spot. Yup. She'd pretty much dripped all the way to the bathroom. Thank goodness the carpet cleaner guy comes on Thursday--that guy's my hero! SERIOUSLY! He works miracles.

I always call the same guy to come out because he's the only one we've ever had that doesn't grumble under his breath while he's working. You can only imagine how bad our carpets must be with all of the traffic they get everyday. If I had my druthers, we wouldn't have carpet, but with vaulted ceilings, our house is continually reverberating, and I rely on the carpet to muffle it a bit.

I'm usually a SUPER early riser--4:30am. I crave the time alone and the time to get some things done that I want to do. It started because of the insomnia I was having. Once I started waking at that time consistently anyway, I decided to stop trying so hard to go back to sleep and just get up and be productive.

Though this has been my way of doing things for the past few months, I still have mornings (on the weekends especially) when I'd like to sleep in, but when it comes to little kids getting up, I'm the go-to girl. I'm it.

Someday...someday, I'm going to get to sleep in. To be honest, it's not so much the sleeping in that I'm after, it's the being able to get up because I want to get up not always because somebody's wanting me up. Someday, that's how it's going to be.

So, the potty duty is done, the carpet is clean, and now it's time to make donuts for Conference. I'm off and running...and thankful to be a morning person.

I think you have a wonderful family and don't be sorry with your insomnia. You're being productive after all! Anyway, that carpet guy has got to be praised, indeed. Carpet cleaning is never easy and he's just a blessing. You can also check online for more options on carpet cleaning. Keep us posted with your productive mornings!
