Time to Get a Visa

#1's visa information arrived yesterday. She has ten days to complete the requirements and submit them. If she doesn't, her mission will be delayed by six weeks. YIKES! It's so nice that the Church will get the visa all taken care of for her, but we've got a bunch of things to do to prepare including getting some passport-type pictures taken.

The more we progress toward this mission experience, I can see the value of having taken her to Japan. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you may remember this. I really do feel that that was an inspired move. She has her passport all taken care of, and it's so nice not to have that worry. Also the fact that she's going to a country that floods frequently--the rainy season is pretty brutal, and she'll arrive right in the middle of all of that.

Thank goodness she's an Oregon girl and is used to lots of rain.

So, we're off today to do some clothes shopping--Goodwill, the fabric store, etc. We'll also take a run up to Walgreen's to get some photos taken.

Crazy that all of this is really happening, and just to think that prior to this last October, we thought we'd have until she was 21. This really is all very miraculous.

I am so excited for her and for you all. There is nothing like having a missionary in the field. It's hard because you miss them but so sweet when you hear each week from them. This brought back memories of getting my daughter ready for her mission. At that time they couldn't have the more colorful clothes. It was also hard to find clothing items for the area she was going too.
Have fun and blessings to you all1
